What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness allows you to simply enjoy being, wherever you are.Mindfulness is present moment awareness. It is about being fully present, connecting with ourselves and appreciating the fullness of each moment of life. This mind-body approach to well-being can help change the way you think about experiences.

Many people find it hard to cope with the pressures of day to day living. Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings so that instead of becoming overwhelmed by them, we feel better equipped to manage them.

Practicing mindfulness gives individuals more insight into their behaviour, boosts their ability to focus and concentrate and improves their relationships. Thousands of peer reviewed scientific papers prove that mindfulness enhances mental and physical wellbeing and reduces stress, anxiety and chronic pain.

Mindfulness is an approach to life based on the understanding that “the present is the only time that any of us have to be alive – to know anything – to perceive – to learn – to act – to change – to heal.
